Today’s Super Flight Management Systems build upon the popular UNS market-proven product design, offering new features and interfaces, and providing growth capabilities to take you into the new era of Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) evolving in the world flight environment. Designed by pilots, for pilots, the intuitive operating system provides pilots the greatest situational awareness, the most efficient data entry, and easily interpreted color displays. System features provide pilots with the ability to seamlessly fly all procedures from takeoff to touchdown along with optimized fuel and performance parameters. The net result: precise navigation, less pilot head-down time, better aircraft and crew resource management and an overall increase in the safety of flight.
The UNS-1L utilizes the compact FPCDU with 4-inch display (4-inch FPCDU) and a separate navigation computer unit. The FPCDU is less than 3 inches deep; the remotely mounted navigation computer is contained in a 2-MCU sized LRU.
